Discovering Your Soul Purpose
Not being aware of one’s life purpose can cause some people to experience extreme sadness, grief, depression and ill health because the soul on some level realizes it is not fulfilling its greatest desire to reunite with All That Is and evolve into the knowing Spirit it deserves to be. By giving yourself the opportunity to reflect on your current and past circumstances, situations and personal relationships you can start to see where you are consistently creating opportunities, often perceived as difficulties in your life.
Although many of us may seek to overcome those challenges, we sometimes forget it is those same difficulties that will allow your soul to know itself as Spirit and truly enjoy existence. What does your soul need to resolve? What does the soul need to know about its self that it was not able to know before? What gifts and strengths are you bringing to the table that you may not even be aware of?
Use your life as a canvas to understand the meaning life has for your soul. Facilitating the self-awareness process needed to know one’s life purpose means recognizing that no one but you can tell you what your life purpose is. It has to be a realization that occurs when you start to remember there was a time and a you before the physical realm. On a deeper esoteric level many of our teachings do state that the soul is on earth to evolve and know its self as one with All That Is. But what does that really mean to you?
In my world it means living with an absence of fear or anxiety, which I can only describe as an empty feeling yet full of tranquility and contentment. On some occasions I have had the blessing to experience this oneness or what some may refer to as enlightenment. On those brief occasions I even wondered if I had died. I was so accustomed to the presence of dis-chord in my soul that when it was resolved or temporarily suspended I could hardly sense my own self. Sadly, I almost could not recognize this subtle yet eternal self due to years of attachment to the physical body and life.
It truly is an indescribable experience because words are not enough to put non-physical experiences into understandable sentences. Returning to the state of our original true self is becoming one with All That Is. Once you remember this eternal part of you, the true nature of everything around you also starts to be revealed. You can clearly see there is no division between us and thus you can only exist as one with All That Is.
Surrendering to a higher Self that knows more than I do when I am dwelling in the linear has been the only way for me to start returning home. Is it safe or loving for me to dictate that becoming one with ALL THAT IS can only mean tranquility among other things when it may be a completely different experience for someone else?
It is unwise to take away the soul experiencing for its self the divine union of returning to Spirit. It is not unlike taking the song away from the bird and still expecting it to fly. You must decide for your self what your purpose is and how to fulfill it, then you will know it is the truth. If it comes from the mouth of another there is room for error and for a task as important as discovering the meaning of your life…can you afford to take that chance?
Let us all experience enlightenment in our own way, in our own time and in our own truth, because that is the only path that leads to eternity.
