Love And Truth: Techniques To Finding Peace Within
The concepts of love and truth have been glossed over in our society. The words love and truth are used often in my teachings and although it may appear the meaning is obvious and easy to understand, I beg to differ. It is necessary to clarify the deeper spiritual meaning of the words and why it plays such an important role in our lives as souls evolving towards oneness with All That Is, as well as being the platform of the Ascension Program I facilitate. Both love and truth go and hand in hand and are essential virtues to perfect because they are the foundation from which your spiritual growth can stem from. Without truth to guide us on our path we can become lost and forgetful.
First, truth is that inner voice that tells us when we are doing something that is not in alignment with our true purpose. It is a voice that comes from a place that is fully aware of the past and the future and has no agendas or desire to be right. By attuning to this voice you can adjust your frequencies to the higher realms where most souls want to ascend.
Secondly, truth can also mean we are being honest with ourselves and recognizing when there is something that needs to be changed or adjusted in order for there to be growth. If we ignore our self-awareness, even when it is more difficult than not to acknowledge it, we reduce the chances of being able to expand back out to that level of awareness that saw our trouble spots in the first place. If we push away self-awareness, we push away our ability to see the world around us clearly. We can all see how this lack of clarity has caused much harm on this earth plane. The result is an inability to cultivate peace.
Thirdly, truth is what you decide for yourself is correct. If you take what someone else is teaching or sharing as absolute without introspection or reflection you have walked away from choosing for your self. This discourages truth from being near you and when we push away our own truth we refuse our divinity. The essence of our divinity is love, which we also resist when we act out of accordance with our soul need and purpose.
Love is a key ingredient to finding peace yet most of us do not understand the spiritual meaning of the word. Love is not infatuation or attachment to another, it is much more reliable and long term. Love is acceptance without judgment, forgiveness without expectations and tranquility without resistance to what is. Love includes non-violence and there can be no soul growth and thus reunion with All That Is, if you are participating in violence of any kind. Whether it be judgment or criticism, physical, mental, emotional or any of the many kinds of violence that we on earth have created, you are simply scattering your energies, perfecting your human negative habits and dampening your soul's natural light.
If your energies are scattered how can you gather them or have control over them? If you don't have control then you cannot focus or concentrate. How can you meditate or become aware of your thoughts, feelings or emotions without this ability? Meditation is practiced in our school as a form of gaining greater self-awareness. The object is not to still the mind. The purpose of meditating is to reflect and allow the mind to reveal what it is hanging onto so that it can be healed or resolved. When the mind has been emptied of karmic energy that needed to be removed from the soul, the mind will naturally still itself.
This is one of the means by which we can raise our consciousness or enlighten the soul. Why is it so vital to strive towards this? If you allow the effervescent light of the soul to be covered you cannot see what is around you. Seeing this light is required, therefore finding it is a necessary first step in any journey. How can we find this light in order that we may be expressing this authentic part of ourselves instead of the conditioned habits and neurosis we have subjected our selves to? Thinking in terms of practicality, how would you find the light in a room of complete darkness? One of the easiest ways is to ask. Ask your higher self, or your God self or your true self, or whatever you would like to call that aspect of you that is completely aware of not only where your light is, but how to turn it on permanently. That way you are giving power back to yourself, where it belongs.
